OUR MOVEMENT

Our Church belongs to the Christian family of Pentecostal Churches associated with the Assemblies of God (AG). The AGs number approximately 350,000 churches worldwide and are currently present in 212 nations, with an estimated 67 million members. The USA "Assemblies of God" ( AG ) were founded in 1914 in Hot Springs, Arkansas, during a meeting of Pentecostal Christian Communities. Many foreign Pentecostal movements have become spiritually affiliated with the American AGs, headquartered in Springfield, Missouri. Today, they number 13,000 churches with an evangelical population of 3 million members and 2,700 missionaries abroad. The "Assemblies of God" hark back to the Pentecostal experience recounted in the Bible in Acts 2:4, where it is reported that about 120 believers, including the apostles, Mary and others, experienced the baptism in the Holy Spirit and “spoke in other tongues” they had never known or learned.
